Misool Eco Resort
Batbitim, Papua
Indonesia

Misool Eco Resort is an exclusive dive resort and conservation centre located in remote southern Raja Ampat, Indonesia. Our private resort island is nestled deep in an archipelago of uninhabited islands, in the very epicentre of marine biodiversity.
Our island and our scuba diving sites are surrounded by our own 1220 sq km (465 sq mi/300,000 acre) Marine Protected Area, and inside the 46,000 sq km Raja Ampat Shark and Manta Sanctuary which we helped to create. We are located 165 km (105 miles) from the nearest port, and the nearest village is 20 km away by boat.
Our resort island, Batbitim, is a true tropical hideaway, just south of the equator and fringed with powder-white beaches and pristine coral reefs. With a maximum capacity of just 40 guests and a staff-to-guest ratio of 3 to 1, we offer exclusive diving holidays, surrounded by the world's richest reefs.
Your stay at Misool Eco Resort directly supports our numerous conservation initiatives and provides sustainable employment opportunities to local people, entirely decoupled from the extraction of marine resources. You can read more about how your stay supports our conservation projects.

How to get there:
Flights to: International flight to Jakarta
than domestic flight to Sorong

In regards to getting to the resort: We recommend that guests fly in via Jakarta. You would need to arrive into Jakarta the day prior to your trip with us, as check-in for the domestic flights would be in the evening on this day.

These Garuda flights transit via Makassar, giving you just enough time to visit the Starbucks before flying on to Sorong.  Of all of the domestic airlines, Garuda is the most reliable and the safest.  Currently these flights are booking for approximately US$300/person each way (approximate price, subject to change upon ticketing).

If you wish to break up your journey we recommend the following hotels:
The hotel that we use in Sorong is the Swiss Bel Hotel: http://www.swiss-belhotel.com/
We find that this is the best option for our guests.

In Jakarta, we use the FM7 Hotel (http://fm7hotel.com/). This one is only a few minutes away from the airport, and they provide free airport shuttle transfers.

Costs
10 days from USD 5,000 full price.
 USD 4,500
discounted price for early bookings, payed at least 90 days before the retreat

Prices are all inclusive of quality accommodation (2 people sharing) in a room with bathroom, all suitable meals (served in a restaurant), all ceremonies and workshops,  speedboat shuttle to / from Sorong.

Additional costs:

The other thing is that you will need a Surat Jalan (Travel Permit), and a Raja Ampat Marine Park Entry Permit, which costs Rp.1,000.000 per person (approximately US$80, subject to change). We can arrange this for you, however you will need to bring along a passport photo and a copy of the information page of your passport so that we can complete the documentation for your permits. We would then collect payment for your permits directly at the resort, with your final bill.

Diving
In order to dive at the resort, guests are required to either be certified divers, or to have arranged a dive course prior to arriving.
If you are planning on diving, you would be required to have full dive insurance, including emergency evacuation cover.
If you do not yet have cover, we recommend DAN Insurance www.diversalertnetwork.org
We also recommend that all guests have travel insurance for their trip.

Please note: This retreat will run with at least 4 people signed up. The group is limited to 8.

Private retreats are available by special arrangement for groups of 4 or more.

After the Ceremony
After a ceremony or retreat where the teacher plants (Tobacco, Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Peyote, etc.) are used it is essential for you to set aside time to reflect on the experience.
If possible, allow yourself at least 3 days to reintegrate what you have experienced into your day-to-day life. You are likely to be very sensitive and open after your journey, so be gentle with yourself. Do your best to avoid stress and create a healing, quiet space where you can get plenty of rest, good sleep, healthy food and time in nature.

Cancelation/changes/no show policy:
1) Once you book your place / pay there are no refunds. It is a serious commitment to take part in the retreat. You should honor that and so will we.
2) If you can't make it to a selected retreat you can:
a) find somebody else until 7 days before the start date, no extra fee required
b) no shows with no notice equals in 100% fee loss.
