This training is designed for those who seek soul enlightenment and deep wisdom. A 29 day long, 200 hour, yoga training with Yoga Guru Siddhartha Shiv Khanna, from New Delhi India, founder of the SIVA OM Yoga School.

This training is suitable for any person of any age, including those who are already teachers and wish to go deeper into the roots of yoga, as well as for those who wish to become teachers. If you want to learn how to do and teach only asanas then this training is not the best option for you as it will focus on much higher elements and aspects of yoga in addition to asana practice. The course will be delivered in English and upon completion you shall be awarded a 200 hours of Teacher Training SIVA OM School of Yoga Certificate (registered with the Govt. Of India)

The course will be delivered in English.


Outline of the Yoga Teacher Training:

Yoga works on the level of one's body, mind, emotion and energy. This has given rise to four broad classifications of Yoga: Karma Yoga where we utilise the body; Jnāna Yoga where we utilise the mind; Bhakti Yoga where we utilise the emotion and Raja Yoga where we utilize the energy. Each system of Yoga we practice falls within the gamut of one or more of these categories.

The four schools of Yoga (Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Karma Yoga and Raja Yoga)


Jnana Yoga



Four stages of Jnana
  • Nityānitya vastu viveka (नित्यानित्य वस्तु विवेकम्) 
  • Ihāmutrārtha phala bhoga virāga (इहाऽमुत्रार्थ फल भोगविरागम्)
  • Satsangat 
  • Mumuksutva (मुमुक्षुत्वम्).

Stages of Jnana Yoga practice
  • Shravan

Bhakti Yoga
  • Navavidha Bhakti. 
  • Qualities of a bhakt.
  • The pronunciation, chanting, knowledge, benefits of Sanskrit chants, hymns, bhajans.
  • Satsang and the uplifting meaning of the chants helping to thin the activities of the mind.
  • Mantra chanting, and their effect on the nadi and the chakras.

· Demonstrated ability to create a bhakti bhav during the chanting and singing.

· In depth reading of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita.


Karma Yoga
  • The concept of karma Yoga.
  • Prerequisites for a sthita prajna.
  • Sthitaprajna lakshana.
  • The law of karma.

Raja Yoga
  • Concepts and principles of Patanjali Yoga Sutras.
  • Concepts and principles of Hatha Yoga.
  • Concepts and principles of Gheranda Samhita.



The widely practiced Yoga sadhanas under Raja Yoga are:
  • Yamas
  • Āsanas
  • Prānāyāma
  • Pratyāhara
  • Dhārana
  • Dhyāna.
  • Bandhas and Mudras. 
  • Śaṭkarmas. 
  • Yuktāhāra


In addition to the above mentioned curriculum there will also be focus upon
  • Conducting purification ceremonies
  • History and origins of yoga
  • The concepts of ida, pingla and the sushumna the central channel of energy running along the spine
  • Seven major chakras, and its correlation to states of consciousness
  • Creating a yoga sequence
  • Yoga Nidra



















Location:

The Mediterranean's largest and most diverse island, Sicily boasts stunning beaches, roaring volcanoes and perhaps the most delicious cuisine in the world. Rich in culture, history and natural beauty, there is something very magical about this sun-filled island and it attracts people looking for an authentic and pure travel experience.


The retreat takes place in the area of Ragusa, home of Baroque and Unesco heritage beauties, and beautiful long stretches of beach. It is strategically located, as it is close to the beautiful cities of Noto, Scicli, and Modica. The region is inviting and and you’ll find the best way to spend your time is simply exploring; wandering along character-filled lanes with a gelato in hand, stopping to take a long drink at a cafe and people watching from a table set in a pretty sloping piazza.


Of course many beautiful beaches are nearby also waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. You may find yourself also, in one of the charming fishing villages, enjoying a long traditional meal and, afterwards, taking a stroll along the sea. The area if full of authentic sicilian moments that many people don’t get to experience when they visit the more popular regions of Sicily.

Nearest airport: Catania Airport (CTA) is an international airport that receives direct flights from all over Europe. There are direct buses between Catania Airport and Ragusa.


Accommodations: Villa Mandolino di Ragusa
The villa, built in 1700 dominates a big valley and offers a stunning panoramic view on the sea and the countryside. It has the typical feature of the rural farms in Ragusa: the entrance through a tree-lined street, the high walls surrounding the main building, the smart large “baglio”, that is a picturesque internal courtyard typically paved with white local stone.
