Location:

The Mediterranean's largest and most diverse island, Sicily boasts stunning beaches, roaring volcanoes and perhaps the most delicious cuisine in the world. Rich in culture, history and natural beauty, there is something very magical about this sun-filled island and it attracts people looking for an authentic and pure travel experience.

The retreat takes place in the area of Ragusa, home of Baroque and Unesco heritage beauties, and beautiful long stretches of beach. It is strategically located, as it is close to the beautiful cities of Noto, Scicli, and Modica. The region is inviting and and you’ll find the best way to spend your time is simply exploring; wandering along character-filled lanes with a gelato in hand, stopping to take a long drink at a cafe and people watching from a table set in a pretty sloping piazza.

Of course many beautiful beaches are nearby also waiting to be discovered and enjoyed. You may find yourself also, in one of the charming fishing villages, enjoying a long traditional meal and, afterwards, taking a stroll along the sea. The area if full of authentic sicilian moments that many people don’t get to experience when they visit the more popular regions of Sicily.

How to get there:
Nearest airport: Catania Airport (CTA) is an international airport that receives direct flights from all over Europe. There are direct buses between Catania Airport and Ragusa.

Accommodations: Villa Mandolino di Ragusa
The villa, built in 1700 dominates a big valley and offers a stunning panoramic view on the sea and the countryside. It has the typical feature of the rural farms in Ragusa: the entrance through a tree-lined street, the high walls surrounding the main building, the smart large “baglio”, that is a picturesque internal courtyard typically paved with white local stone.

Each room is well appointed and comfortable.
