Mountain blessing - a ceremony of Andean origin called despacho.

A despacho (translates from Spanish into “dispachment” or “shipment”, a “sending off”) ceremony, is an offering of gratitude to Mother Earth or PachaMama, and is one of the most important of Andean ceremonies. The offering itself is a bundle of various small gifts, including shells, sweets, flowers, and coca leaves, that are attentively arranged, wrapped up, blessed, and burnt as an offering to Pacha Mama. When a despacho ceremony is performed we unify our connection with Mother Earth, God and the Universal Order.  We put order into all aspects of our life whether physical, mental, emotional, spiritual or material and by doing so obtain a high level of vitality, courage, wisdom and passion.  All those around us then share the new order and happiness received by fulfilling this offering.

We will be performing this ceremony in the Alpujarras mountains over 1000m of altitude.

The whole Alpujarras mountains is quite a magical place on it's own and hides many great hiking trails, olive trees that are over 1000 years old, and many other natural wonders.

Agenda:

Drive to Alpujarras Mountain

Overnight in one of the towns in the region

Welcome dinner

*Day 2

Breakfast

Preparation for the ceremony

Drive to the mountains and hike to the ceremony location

Dinner in the local restaurant

Drive back to Granada

Agenda:

*Day 1: Arrivals and a warm welcome dinner, with an optional intentions setting workshop

*Days 2 to 6: Rise to morning meditations and healing Tai Chi practice, indulge in nutritious meals, and embrace daily mantra practices.

Afternoon will be dedicated to trekking in local gorgeous mountains.

Evenings enchant with the soft embrace of meditative mantras.

*Day 6: Evening activity: savor a premium wine tasting paired with a light dinner, a celebration of the senses.
